Visit by ANVISA Officials to Cannava
We welcomed representatives from Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) for a day of technical and institutional exchange.

This meeting is part of the regulatory update process that Brazil is promoting regarding the production, commercialization, and importation of cannabis-derived products, and it opens new opportunities for regional coordination.
For Cannava and for Argentina, it represents an opportunity to share know-how, provide technical assistance, and advance the supply of products, consolidating capabilities developed within the country.
Likewise, the aim is to strengthen the institutional link between ANVISA and ANMAT, in coordination with the REPROCANN program represented by Mariano Pérez, by establishing a joint work agenda that includes the provision of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) of CBD and THC for Brazilian universities conducting cannabis research.
Possible avenues for cooperation were also discussed with local governments and regions in Brazil that decide to promote this industry, with the aim of establishing institutional ties between the province of Jujuy and various Brazilian states.
The ANVISA delegation highlighted Cannava’s productive and technological development, leaving a very positive impression of the company. This first meeting lays the groundwork for a sustained work agenda that will continue to strengthen in future stages.
