GACP
GACP (Good Agricultural and Collection Practices) are essential standards to ensure that medicinal cannabis is grown with quality, safety and traceability from seed to harvest.
These standards include: selection of seeds/genetics with traceability and stability, growing conditions with control of soil, water, light, humidity and nutrients, pest and disease control, good harvesting practices with hygiene and handling, drying and storage under conditions to preserve the active ingredients, and a registered and audited process.
Staff training with ongoing education to ensure compliance.
These practices are the first mandatory step to then access certifications such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) in pharmaceutical products derived from cannabis.
Implementing GACP is not only a legal requirement in many countries, but also a guarantee of trust for doctors, patients, and investors.
