The study, which is multicenter and prospective, has as its main objective to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pharmaceutical-grade oral cannabis formulations (with different proportions of THC and CBD) for the treatment of chronic non-cancer neuropathic pain.

The research is being conducted at health centers in Jujuy, Argentina, and seeks to validate the potential of the endocannabinoid system as a safer and more effective alternative to opioid-based treatments.

Preliminary results, obtained after the inclusion of more than 100 patients since 2024, suggest a favorable tolerability and efficacy profile for THC, highlighting its analgesic potential and an improvement in the quality of life of patients.
